Marco Caria, a baritone born in Oristano, is recognized as one of the most interesting voices on the international opera scene, with a career that has taken him to major theaters around the world, from the Wiener Staatsoper to the Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires.

His most recent debuts include Scarpia in Tosca (Montpellier 2022), Barnabas in La Gioconda (Cagliari 2025) and Jago in Otello (Sassari 2024), with an anticipated return as Scarpia at the Margarethen Festival in Austria in 2026.

There are characters who accompany you throughout your career. For me Rodrigo, Marquis of Posa, is one of them: I have sung it many times, and every time I discover something new.
On October 30 and November 1 I will give him a voice again. Municipal Theatre of Sassari, In the Don Carlo by Verdi directed by Federico Santi, it is being staged for the first time in the city.
